A great announcement for the Oxenham Park Precinct with Labor Candidate Anikia Wells pledging $1 million to the upgrade of the change rooms improving facilities for members of both Toombul DCC and Mayne Junior AFL.

The news comes comes off the back of successful year administratively with a number of infrastructure projects underway in the background rumblings of the winter months. The money will be used to upgrade the existing changerooms in the Cec Anstey Complex and to updgrade what is currently called the "Second Changeroom", which serves as a dual groundmans shed/changeroom/shipping container yard. President Simon Mammino thanked the support of Anikia in listening to the concerns both clubs had with delivering better facilities to improve participation rates and boost the ever increasing demand for female cricket and AFL. The pledge will certainly reinforce the importance of community sports and the long running history of Toombul within the Nundah area.
